I fell in love with Italy some 20 years ago. I love the history, culture, food, wine and the beautiful weather, but most of all I treasure the Italian's strong regard for Family and Tradition.
Casale Della Fontanella Dei Monti nestled just outside "Alvito" just on the outskirts of the Abruzzo, Lazio, Molise National Park.
"Alvito" is one of the enchanting medieval towns in the area of Italy called the Ciociaria Region, the name given to the fertile land thatlies south of Rome but north of Naples, situated inland in the hills in the heart of Italy. The Ciociaria region is within easy reachof both Rome and Naples and their respective airports.
A day's shopping in Rome is a common pastime, while an even shorter drive brings you to the charming beaches south of Rome. Alternatively, drive east, and the mountains of the Abruzzo National Park await with horse trekking in the magnificent beech forests, and sparkling mountain lakes and rivers where you can swim in the heat of the summer ; and at the other extreme of temperature, although Alvito itself ,temperate, less than an hour's drive brings you to the winter ski slopes .

My husband and I have had the pleasure of staying at Casale Della Fontanella in Alvito, Italy. It is located in the beautiful countryside with breathtaking views of both the valley and the mountains. The location provides a home base to explore much of what the area has to see and offer. We visited many quaint villages, Abruzzo National Park, Lake Barrea, and more. The hosts are friendly, flexible and very helpful. Their knowledge of the area helped provide us with ideas of things to do and places to go. The host is an amazing chef and the food provided was top notch. The home is very clean and beautifully furnished. Everything exceeded our expectations and we can’t wait to visit again.
